An incredible thing happened when I went on vacation....I actually relaxed. Though it was only a few days away from home, I was able to stake my stress at the front door of the hotel, and the bell boy whisked me, my family, and my luggage away into the fantasy that is called Great Wolf Lodge.
We go every year, and each year is better than the last. Much has to do with the fact that the kiddos are getting older, and I am not as paranoid with the "three kids in the pool" scenario, and some has to do with me finally starting to learn how to enjoy vacations, rather than stress through them.
The pool was a perfect 86 degrees, and their outdoor pool space was nice enough that if I tried, I could have fooled myself to believe I was in a remote area, sipping endless cocktails with my kids playing absolutely peacefully. But I wasn't and I was alright with it, because somehow, the entire trip worked out perfectly - full of great food, yummy drinks, and without care.
I came home thinking that I would be exhausted, but I am not, because in all of this relaxing, I have found my muse....mojo....inspiration...whatever you may call it. Prioritizing, maybe? Wake up call? Apparently, it took a little bit of vacation and a good pow-wow with my significant other, an objective look, or maybe it was simply a look away from the everyday walls I surround myself with.
I am known for blog mumbo jumbo; please bear with me :)
I was re-energized, simply put.
And encouraged, not just by my family and my own readiness, but also from a friend who actually believes that I can sew.
Thank you Mindy for sending these labels to me! Though I
sewed many years for business, those days were light years in the past, and I didn't really realize how many of my quilts went out the door to those I loved without me putting a label on to them.
But no longer will they!
Here's to small moments where everything is very clear, and here's to hoping that we remember them when it is like every other day of the year.
Can't wait to read how everyone is doing :)
love that piece :)
glad you had a wonderful time. hope i am able to do the same on our trip.

Yay Tiffany! I can't wait to see what happens. Great Wolf Lodge looks great and I am so happy you and your man got some time together. I know how that can be with 3 wee ones.
xo,
Tia
