was one of R's first words, if you can believe it.
"Mama", "Daddy", "Kitty"
She has my obsession for both the Pink and the Kitty. I have to say, admittedly, that I have passed it down to her. I have secret stashes of Kitty stationary in my drawers, and I use pencils with Sanrio animation. Using Kitty stuff is like comfort food for my belly. And just as I always have a good stock of these comfort foods in my kitchen, I have a good deal of Kitty around the house to keep me giggling.
My mother still uses Kitty (although she prefers her in Red, rather than Pink) accessories. Like Lola (grandmother), like Mama, like Daughter. :)
I carved a few minutes to cross another block off the list: Flying X . What fun this was! I ran downstairs to the sewing room while R took her tiny nap, in between working out and getting ready to pick up C from school.
What takes me the longest is finding the fabrics to put together, and in my gigantic stash of scrap fabrics, I am always overwhelmed. The color wheel (coordinates and contast) concepts completely leave my brain when I start sorting through the folded craziness. But I am determined to use up my stash, as it doesn't seem that it's getting any smaller.
Not that I'm complaining, really!
